Attention all book lovers and bargain hunters! The Friends of the Kent County Public Library are once again holding their semi-annual book sale, where you’re sure to find a few titles you’ve been looking for and maybe a few surprises you simply can’t resist.
The Friends’ sale has hundreds of books, fiction and nonfiction, everything from classics to history to popular romances to children’s books. In addition to books, the sale offers DVDs, games, audiobooks, music, and puzzles. With low prices, it makes it easy to stock up on summer reads for you and the whole family, and don’t forget about moms, dads and grads!
You’ll find us at the Kent County Public Library on High Street at the following dates and times:
• Thursday, May 5, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Members’ Night
Non-members may join the FOL at the door for only $10 per person / $20 per family.
Light snacks and beverages will be served.
• Friday, May 6, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. – First Friday
• Saturday, May 7, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday, May 8, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Box Day!
Take home a box for $5! You bring the box and fill it up so we don’t have to pack the books away! Special books and items are half price.
So mark your calendars and be sure to come to the Kent County Public Library, 408 High Street, Chestertown MD.
We accept cash and checks. All proceeds benefit the Kent County Public Library by subsidizing the purchase of new books, helping to make needed upgrades, and supporting community outreach programs.
If you’d like more information about the sale, visit www.friendsofthekcpl.org , e-mail [email protected] or find us on Facebook! Or, if you’d like to volunteer to help set up before the sale or assist during it, we’d love to hear from you.
