There will be a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class offered on Saturday, April 23, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, Conference Center.
Approved by the American Heart Association, this class teaches participants how to recognize several life-threatening emergencies through classroom instruction and hands-on certified CPR training. Participants also will learn how to effectively use an automated external defibrillator(AED) and to relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
This class benefits to a variety of professionals including nurses, lifeguards, police officers, fire fighters and childcare workers.
