On Sunday, September 27, 10 a.m., Rev. Christian Schmidt will present a sermon entitled “Creating Covenant” to the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown. We come from a long tradition as Unitarian Universalists, and a crucial part of that is our identity as a covenantal religion. We come together on the basis of our shared agreements, not shared beliefs (though we have a fair amount of those, too!). Rev. Schmidt will talk about the history of covenants, what they are, and what they mean for us in this day and age.
Ms. Meghan Ferster will sing for the congregation during the service.
Religious exploration for youngsters and childcare for infants and toddlers will be provided during the service. All are welcome.

Not knowing very much about the UU, I was curious whether the selection of the photo of the Dome of the Rock https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dome_of_the_Rock has any particular significance?
