With a grand opening only weeks away, the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy’s longtime director Rob Etgen looks more like a general contractor than an environmentalist. As the ESLC enters into one of their most important phases in their 25 years of existence, Etgen spends most of his time putting out small fires as the Shore’s newest multi-organizational conservation center is close to opening its doors.
In his Spy interview, Rob talks about those final touches, the challenges and success stories of other nonprofit organizations eager to particulate in this bold new experiment in conservation collaboration on the Eastern Shore.
