On Sunday, May 3, 10 AM at the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, Barbara Meyers will speak on “Finding Common Ground: Meeting Our Wisdom Teachers.” This talk both honors ans welcomes the natural world as teacher. We find ourselves caught in a difficult time – the space between an industrial growth world and a life-sustaining world. Survival depends on us and the generations that follow becoming more effective stewards on all that exists on this planet. Drawing on her meetings in the natural world, Barbara Meyers invites us to uncover lessons necessary for sustainability, for confronting life and death, for balancing individuality and community, and for bringing our gifts forward. She encourages the qualities necessary for moving forward into the unknown – fearlessness, patience, respect, and listening with an open heart.
