Art Exhibit
During the month of May, KCPL will host art exhibits at the Chestertown Branch and the North County Branch in Galena.
Stop by the North County Branch in Galena to enjoy Marty Anderson’s “Tea at the Ritz” collection. For the past 30 years, Marty has designed and illustrated a poster for an opening event at the Paris Air Show. While the original silk-screened posters are given to government officials and CEOs of sponsoring companies, this month you can stop by the North County Branch and enjoy the collection of posters featuring ladies of the early- to mid-1900s in a variety of Paris settings.
On First Friday, May 1st, the Tidewater Camera Club will hold an opening reception for their showcase of members’ photography. Please stop by the Chestertown Branch from 5-8pm on First Friday, May 1st to visit with photographers, enjoy light refreshments, and take the opportunity to experience the show. The Tidewater Camera Club supports photography, knowledge about the use of the camera, and a dedication to improving member skills in producing great images. The club encourages members to share their photographic knowledge through fellowship and friendly competition. The Tidewater Camera Club, in Easton, Maryland is a private, non-profit organization that was founded in 1963. It welcomes photographers of all levels and ages.
Both shows will remain on display during the month of May. For more information, please call 410.778.3636 (Chestertown) or 410.648.5380 (North County).
