On Tuesday, March 10 at 5pm, Sam Shoge will present his lecture “Liberal Arts Transcending” as part of RiverArts “Creative Lives” lecture series. His lecture will focus on the impact of living a “Liberal Arts” lifestyle. Shoge believes that taking the principles of a liberal arts education and applying it to ones professional and personal lives can have a positive impact on both the individual and community.
Shoge grew up in Chestertown and graduated from Kent County High School. After graduating from Elon College, he returned to his roots in Chestertown where he has been a community organizer. Shoge is Assistant Director of Admissions at Washington College. In addition, he is a founder of the Young Professionals of Kent County organization and is the current councilman for Chestertown’s third ward.
