KCPL offers monthly opportunities designed to help people become more comfortable using technology.
Computer Connections is an ongoing series of hands-on, beginner-level classes designed to make using technology a comfortable and positive experience. The class is held monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 10am and topics rotate based on interest.
The Computer Connections topic for Thursday, March 19 is Intro to Computers. This class teaches the basics of searching, navigating, and browsing the internet with a focus on internet safety and protecting privacy online. You do not need to own a computer to take this free class. Space is limited and registration is required.
Digital Drop-In is an opportunity to ask technology questions in a casual and supportive small group setting. Bring a device (laptop, tablet, or other device) along with any questions about how it works or how to use it to access library resources. Digital Drop-In is held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 3-4:30pm.
All technology classes are held at the Chestertown branch and are offered at no cost. For more information about technology classes at KCPL or to register for Intro to Computers, please call 410.778.3636.
