The Board of Directors of University of Maryland Chester River Health Foundation recently announced its officers for 2015. William B. Noll has assumed the role of the Board’s chairperson.
Noll, a resident of Worton, retired in 2008 after 25 years with Motors Insurance Corporation, where he worked in many capacities including chief financial officer and president. He is past president of the United Way of Kent County and has served as treasurer of Main Street Historic Chestertown. Noll is also a consultant with the Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE), and currently serves as chairperson of the Upper Shore Chapter.
“It is both a privilege and honor to have been elected chairperson of the Chester River Health Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds to support the local hospital and nursing and rehabilitation center,” comments Noll. “My wife, Barbara, and I have owned property in Kent County for nearly 15 years and resided here full time for over seven years. We were drawn by the county’s many attractions – chief among these is the presence of UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.”
He continues, “Kent County is blessed to have such a fine facility, one that is and has been whole heartedly supported by the community it serves. As evidence of this support, more than $5.4 million has been donated to the Chester River Health Foundation over the last five years.”
Other officers on the Board for 2015 include Ken Kozel, president and CEO of UM Shore Regional Health, Board president; Jason Fellows, vice chairperson; Mary Burton, secretary; Myra Butler, assistant secretary; and JoAnne Hahey, chief financial officer for University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, treasurer.
New to the Foundation’s Board are members Sandra Bjork, RN, Esq., John Carroll, Jr., Suzetta Shepard and Sigrid Whaley. They join other members James Barton, III, Douglas Camp, Margie Elsberg, Elizabeth (Barrie) Frazier-Meima, Carl Gallegos, Ph.D., Charles Lerner, Esq., O. Raymond Long, John Murray, Ph.D., and Sue Edson, president of the hospital Auxiliary.
Noll adds, “To fulfill its mission, the Foundation solicits the support of civic minded people who represent all facets of the community it serves. Each board member comes to the Foundation with a passion for this medical system and for the purpose of helping it remain a vibrant medical facility well into the distant future. The Board, as a whole, exhibits a diversity of thought, background and experience that well-serves both the Foundation and the community.”
