Chestertown RiverArts, a large and growing nonprofit community arts organization with a spacious gallery located in the heart of scenic downtown Chestertown, is now accepting applications for an Executive Director.
The Executive Director of RiverArts has primary operational responsibility for program, staff, and a large cadre of volunteers. As the external face of the organization, the Executive Director represents RiverArts to its members, financial supporters and the larger community. The Executive Director also cultivates new funding opportunities.
Diane Landskroener recently resigned after serving as RiverArts’ first executive director to pursue her own artistic passions. Jodi Bortz has been named the interim executive director while the search is underway for a permanent director. Bortz is the current KidSPOT coordinator as well a partner in Haywire Letterpress. A Chestertown native, she previously was a teacher in the Moravian College Music Institute and a manager at Dun & Bradstreet/RMS Corp.
A full position description, specifying duties and qualifications, can be found at https://chestertownriverarts.org/executive-director-search/ Applications are due by February 28. Interested applicants should email their cover letter and resume, along with three references, to the chair of the search committee at [email protected].
