On Sun, January 11, 10 AM, Dr. David Newell will present a sermon entitled “Personal Identity” for the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown. John Locke wondered what would happen if the soul of a prince somehow ended up in the body of a cobbler. Would we have a cobbler or a prince, or neither? What is it that uniquely identifies us as persons, and what happens if it is altered, destroyed, or simply inaccessible? This question has interesting implications for us today.
