The joint Kent and Queen Anne’s County Task Force on the Chester River Bridge has announced that a public meeting with State Highways Administration (SHA) and county commissioners will be held at 9:00 AM Wednesday, January 21 at 400 High St.
The meeting will address the SHA proposal to close the Chester River Bridge for up to four weeks for maintenance. The SHA will also discuss an optional proposal to eliminate the drawbridge function so that it would service only vehicular traffic and not open for marine traffic needing additional height.
Chestertown Mayor Chris Cerino reads the letter from the Task Force:
Monica Sella says
Will there be a meeting for people who use the bridge to commute? MMost of those individuals will not be able to attend a 9 AM meeting.
