Discriminating shoppers, mark your calendars! – Shared Opportunity Service (SOS), a Chestertown organization that serves youth and their families, is once again presenting a Holiday Shopping Galleria. This year the event is on Friday November 8, and Saturday November 9 at the Kent County Community Center in Worton, MD.
Building on the successes of previous years, the Holiday Galleria, will feature specialty boutiques, designer apparel and jewelry, fine arts, gourmet foods, hunting & outdoor clothing, pet accessories, and home décor. Returning vendors include Everything But The Kitchen Sink from Hockessin, DE., One Stop Kids Shop from Malvern, PA., and Polka Dots “fun and flirty boutique” in Paoli, PA., as well as local favorites Houston’s Dockside Emporium, Houck’s Menswear, Mimi’s Closet, (with baby & girls’ clothing by Nicole Castelli Russell), and Unity Church Hill Nursery. Among the new vendors this year are Crow Farm Winery and Bookplate, offering Spanish pottery and olive oil in addition to collectible books.
Guests at the Patrons’ Party on Friday November 8, from 6 – 9 PM can preview vendors, and participate in an extensive silent auction and raffle. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar provided by Jeff Carroll Catering will highlight the evening. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
The Galleria will be open for shopping on Saturday November 9th from 10 AM to 4 PM, with
a general admission of $5 at the door. Hungry customers can stop in at lunch café, operated by the FishWhistle, open from 10 am to 3 pm.
Why go to the mall when you can shop locally and support a local family service organization?
