Taste of the Sassafras will be held Friday, September 13, 2013, under the tent at the Kitty Knight House, overlooking the beautiful Sassafras River. This year we are in the midst of the Bicentennial of The War of 1812, and what better venue than The Kitty Knight House, the historic site that was spared from the burning of Georgetown by the British. There will be food samplings offered by local restaurants and caterers, live music, and local wines and beers. This charitable event is put on by the Sassafras River Business Council, with proceeds going to local organizations. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at https://srbcinc.org/taste-of-the-sassafras/.
