If you were born after July 1, 1972, you must have a Maryland approved safe boating certificate to operate a pleasure boat in Maryland. The Coast Guard Auxiliary in Chestertown is offering the Boat Maryland course over three sessions on April 6, 13, and 20 at the Kent County Public Library. Each session starts at 9:00AM and lasts 3.5 hours. All three sessions are required. The course costs $25 and includes training materials. For more information and to register, contact 410-778-5117.
