The Caceanova/Finehouse Duo received rave reviews at their concert last year at St Paul’s. Returning again this year, these two virtuoso musicians will play for us on Saturday February 16 at 7 PM. They have selected pieces from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The selections include two dazzling Sonatas, one by Brahms and the other by Ravel. In addition we will hear short dynamic pieces by T. Schemmer, “Bonbon Bohème” (based Musetta’s and Mimi’s arias from eponymous opera by Puccini), B. Bartok, “6 Romanian Folk Dances”, E. Granados/F. Kreisler, “Spanish Dance No. 5” and C. Saint-Saëns “Introduction and Rondo-Capriccioso”.
Both Finehouse (piano) and Caceanova (violin) have won awards for their musicianship. They have performed internationally in venues ranging from St. Petersburg Russia to St. Petersburg Florida. But we do not have to go to Europe or Russia to hear them. They will bring their gift of music to us here at St. Paul’s. They both love music with a passion that is very evident in their performances.
Kent Chamber Music is bringing this group to the intimate setting of the St. Paul’s Parish Hall. More detail is at the website — https://www.kentchambermusic.com/.
