I was astonished after attending the performance of the Washington College Chorus and Symphonic Band this evening in the Gibson Fine Arts Center. It was a truly amazing performance. Bravo to both groups and their directors.
It is my understanding that both entities are in their infancy. The accomplishments of both groups were truly amazing.
The performances were exciting, delightful and most enjoyable.
Kudos to Doug Byerly, Director of the Chorus and Dr. Keith Wharton Director of the Symphonic Band, for the great work they have done with these groups.
The John Rutter .piece, “Sans Day Carol”, presented by the Chorus, was extremely well done and beautiful, especially at the beginning of the Christmas season.
Kudos also, to the many Washington College students who attended the concert, especially this near to examine time.
I am really amazed at the wonderful music produced by these two musical groups at Washington College. As alumni, it made me feel really proud of the students with all the musical talent now attending Washington College. And, I understand that the Chorus is
made up of a number of freshmen. Keep up the wonderful work.
Now the good citizens of Kent County, Chestertown and environs,’ do not have to leave town to hear really great music. Just go to the Gibson Fine Arts Center.
Let us look forward with anticipation and excitement for the spring offerings by the Washington College Chorus and Symphonic Band

Yes, it was a great sound from both groups!

Add Wacapella to the music groups that warrant compliments. The hall was standing room only on Friday evening, and the house was close to being filled for the Saturday afternoon encore. Congratulations to these student singers.
