Heralded by members of the Kent County Community Marching Band, Santa arrived in Chestertown Friday night, spent the rest of the evening with Mrs. Claus and the elves, and returned Saturday morning for the annual Thanksgiving weekend parade. He was accompanied by Rudolph, The Grinch and Frosty, who entertained crowds at the judges’ stand dancing with the Community Marching Band’s Crab mascot.

My mind is full of delight and thankfulness for our family who came from North and South, for perfect weather and for that splendid parade. Congratulations to all who marched and drove and played , and to the Spy who took these pictures.

It was cold but it was great. There was as many smiles as there were people. It makes you feel good about being a resident of Chestertown.
