WCTR welcomes you all to our 4th Annual WCTR Party In The Park Saturday September 11th from 4 to 8pm. This year’s Party In The Park will be held at the new Kent County Community Center in Worton. WCTR has been holding this event as a way of saying “thank you” to the community for its support, and to provide an opportunity to support a worthwhile cause – Character Counts Of Kent County, a non-profit public school system program that teaches our children the six pillars of character development: trustworthiness; respect; responsibility; fairness; caring; and citizenship.
The concert on Saturday will include The Blake Thompson Band, Me Equals You, Blind Willie and The CTR All Stars. There will be swimming at the pool so bring your bathing suit and towel. Food and beverages will be available, along with community organization tables. This year the classic cars will be back representing the ATC Cruisers.
A portion of the monies raised at The Party will benefit Character Counts. There will be raffles for dinners, guitars, gift certificates, event t-shirt sales. Admission is only $1, children under 5 are free to get in, and there will be a Moon Bounce for the kids. The guest emcee will be none other than Mr. Doo Wop, Bill Blake.
